Hello loves,
Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am. Not because I have any big plans (It’s cleaning weekend) but because I am hoping to sleep in just once! What about you? Any big or fun plans?
Here we are again for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month Juanita chose this beautiful and fun design by @Playfulpolishes. When I saw this come through I was a little nervous at first. I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to do it ANY justice. I eventually sat down and tried to break it down in stages and once I did that I just couldn’t wait to get cracking. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Too yacht to handle on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then started stamping the palm leaf – ish image randomly using Lina – Summer -1 and Mundo de Unas – Aqua, Mundo de Unas – Turquoise, Mundo de Unas – Barbie and Mundo de Unas – Sorbet. I topcoated the stamping and once that was completely dry I did some freehand leopard print using a toothpick and Sinful Colors – Black on black. I topcoated again and ta-dah!
The neons are so bright that it freaked my camera out a little and it looks a little less bright. I actually really loved how this came out. What would I change? I would move the colours of the leaves around a bit more so that the leopard print doesn’t cover the same colour all over. I wish the leaves showed up a bit more in detail (but I suspect it will show more on my IG post so check that out) Either way, I really loved it. I wanted to change the colours completely initially but instead I just added some pink. What do you think? Do you like it? What would you have changed? Don’t forget to pop over to Juanita and Joyce to see what deliciousness they created.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Ha! I knew you couldn’t resist adding pink, I just knew it!! 🙂
It is absolutely gorgeous though, definitely a winner!

Hahahaha you know me too well. I actually have some nail art coming next week with close colours and I was worried it would look too much alike. The pink seemed necessary :P. (that’s my story and I am sticking to it 😉 )
Thanks Joyce! xx
Juanita
