Hey guys,
I hope you’re having a great week so far! Yesterday we had stupid high temps and today it is a nice and cool (for summer) day. I am ever thankful for the coolness but I suspect the heat will be back before we finally slide into autumn. Can you tell I am super over summer already? I just want to be able to sleep comfortably again 😛
Last week in my Friday Triad post I mentioned that I initially wanted to change the colour from the original. The big reason why I wanted to was because of this post today. I actually did this before that and I was worried the colours would be too similar. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Capacity to see beyond on my pinky and ring finger and 1 coat of China Glaze – Werk it honey on my index and middle finger. Once it was all completely dry I did a sponged gradient on my index and middle finger using China Glaze – Werk it honey and China Glaze – Lime after lime. While the gradient was drying I went to work on the flowers. I stamped using Lina – Spring 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in the flowers using China Glaze – Capacity to see beyond. When it was dry I applied it over the gradient, topcoated and voila!
I really liked the vibrant colours together. I am such a sucker for gradients too so this one was very fun. I have also used this stamping image so many times because it really is such a great flower image. What do you think?
