Hey guys,
Today is basically like a Friday for me. Tomorrow is a public holiday so it is a long weekend for us. That doesn’t really mean anything but the idea sounds nice :P. How is your week going? Mine has felt like an eternity with all this load shedding but anyway.
I’ve mentioned that a few times now that I got a Dollish Polish order and this is one of the lasts batches I will show you (this time). This was the Christmas collection for end 2018 and even though it isn’t still available, I am showing you because you never know if it will make another appearance. This is the Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch stole Christmas collection. Let’s get straight to it,
Dollish Polish – a heart two sizes too small
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is described as a bright candy apple red with pink/copper shimmer and filled with tiny silver micro flakes. When I first saw this collection I didn’t really pay much attention to this one but my goodness is it beautiful. As always, a beautiful formula and great opacity. The colour is beautiful but the shimmer and flakes just knock it out of the park.
Dollish Polish – Fah who foraze, Dah who doraze, Welcome christmas!
This is 3 coats with topcoat. It is described as a translucent icy blue with turquoise/indigo shimmer, and loaded with iridescent micro flakes and glitters. This one blew my mind a little bit. The flakes in this one is crazy beautiful. I don’t know why I am just loving the flake polishes but the other day I showed you Nobody puts Baby in the corner and this is like a blue version of that beaut. I used 3 coats but I think 2 coats will be fine. I was over compensating for the light colour but I think 2 would’ve been fine. That being said, 3 coats was easy to work with. I also took a photo of the polish at a bit of an angle to try and get a different shot of the flakes
Dollish Polish – Little Cindy-Lou
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is described as orchid pink, loaded with TONS of gold shimmer. It certainly has tons of gold shimmer. I just love this shade of orchid pink and the gold shimmer is very noticeable and shiny. This applied so beautifully and is also very opaque. I’m a fan for sure!
Dollish Polish – Who’s who of Who-ville
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is described as a jam-packed micro glitter in shades of pink, green, turquoise, royal blue and gold, all in a vibrant gold shimmery base. This is another one where I thought 2 coats might’e been enough but the 3 coats applied easily. I thought for sure this one would be a glitter bomb but what I liked about it is that once it dried down it almost looked like a gold glittery base with the colour glitter over it. I like that the glitter didn’t just pack over and on top of each other. It’s a beautiful distribution of glitter and full opacity. I looooove this one. I also realised afterwards by testing on my other hand that if you used a very thin single coat, you could layer this over a colour and also get a beautiful look.
Dollish Polish – You’re a mean one, Mr Grinch!
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is described as a pistachio green crelly, filled with micro glitters and ultra chrome flakes in varying shades of green! This is my absolute favourite. I don’t have anything like this in my collection. The colour and glitter with flakes combination is just beautiful. Beautiful, easy coats and stunning opacity. Swoon!
What do you think? Which one is your favourite? Do you have any from this collection? I just love it.
