Hey guys,
It’s finally cooling down. I actually had to put something warmer on today. I can’t explain my excitement about this. How is your week going?
I am always so curious how other people decide on nail art and what combinations they want to do. Do you use other nail art as inspiration? Does a polish inspire you? Maybe a colour combination you saw in a pattern? For me, it can be any of the above. Usually when I am lacking inspiration I browse Pinterest or instagram and end up with inspiration from a bunch of different ideas. For today, it was none of the above. I grabbed a polish I hadn’t really used before and swatched it. Then I grabbed something else that would go well but be a little different. Eventually I grabbed my box of vinyls and I gave it a shot. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – New York state of mind on my pinky and index and 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Tan my hide on my middle and ring fingers. Once this was all completely dry, I went to work with my Weave me vinyls from Because I shop. I placed them on my middle and ring fingers, added 2 quick coats of Morgan Taylor – New York state of mind and quickly removed the vinyls before the polish dried. I topcoated everything and voila!
What do you think? I’ll be honest, I don’t know if I love it but I don’t hate it either. I really love the pattern of the vinyl and it also made me realise that I should use vinyls more often. They really are so fun and easy to use. I mentioned I also watched this polish so let me show you that.

This is 2 coats with topcoat. I wish I could do this polish more justice with photos. This is a black jelly packed with glitter in gold, silver, blue and pink. The glitter is absolutely stunning when it catches the light but is a bit ‘blown out’ on my photos. My camera went a bit nuts with the beautiful shimmer. This is a great and easy to use polish thanks to a great formula and opacity.
