I saw the date this morning and realised we are a week plus into April, autumn is here and glorious and before we know it it will be downhill to Christmas again. Is it just me or is time flying? Anyway, I hope you had a fabulous weekend and like me, ready to tackle the week.
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
I am excited about the prompt this week. The prompt is Blue & black. I had so many ideas. Black with blue. Blue with black. Stamping, marble….so many ideas. In the end I went with a favourite. Let me show you,
I started off with a gradient. I used 1 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails and left it to dry completely. I then did a sponged gradient using Wet n wild – Black creme, Color Club – Baldwin blues and China Glaze – Born to rule. I wanted the gradient to get lighter at the tips. Even though I really loved how the gradient turned out, I knew it needed a little something more. I stamped over all my nails using Moyra – 32 Nature and Mundo de Unas – Blue. I topcoated and that was that.
I really liked this gradient so I made sure to snap a photo before I added the stamping. I wasn’t sure if the stamping would work so I wanted to make sure I got the gradient. Let me show you
What do you think? Should I have left the stamping or does it work better with the stamping? Am I silly for loving this gradient so much? What is your favourite blue and black nail art?
