Happy Friday, happy long weekend, happy Easter. I am in full on ‘holiday’ mode and I hope you’re having the best time as well.
I saw a while ago that Essence have once again changed their regular line of polishes. When I got my first Essence polishes they had just changed the Colour & Go polishes from the small bottles to the rounder bottles with the colour coded lids. Then the Colour & Go range was replaced by the The Gel range. Now they are changing it again and replacing it with the Shine, last & go range. I have no idea why they keep changing it but here we are. I must say that I really like the new bottle shapes and the brushes are really nice too. My store only had a handful of shades and bottles so I only managed to get 4 but hopefully there will be more before the year is over. Let me show you the 4 I did manage to get
Essence – City of stars
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a gorgeous dark blue packed with various shades of blue glitter. It applied easily and was very opaque. I really really like this one and it is also a more unique offering from the range. I hope there will be more like this.
Essence – Heatwave
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a red toned orange. It applied well and has nice opacity. It’s not super unique but it’s a great polish.
Essence – Mrs Brightside
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a vivid bright yellow creme. It’s got a stunning formula and applies really well. I am so in love with this colour. It’s not quite highlighter neon yellow but it’s super bright and super fun. This one is definitely my favourite. Be warned though: you NEED base coat. This will stain your nails! Double up if need be.
Essence – Razzle dazzle
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a light gold metallic foil. It applied well and is super shiny. I quite like it. Essence has gone and recycled a name again as you will find the same name in the glitter on, glitter off range.
What do you think? Do you have a favourite? Have you picked up any from this new range yet? I have my eye on a purple and a green that I have seen advertised. Let’s hope stock arrives sooner rather than later. I hate having to wait so long for stock to hit stores here. Let me know what you think
