Hello hey hi,
It feels like the last few weeks have been topsy turvy with all the public holidays and this is the first week in a while without any breaks. I am ready for it. I hope you are too 😉
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is negative space. I once again had a million ideas. From negative space stamping to actual negative space. Let me show you what I did,
I started off with a whitening base coat on all my nails (this has a milky colour so helps to hide my horrible stains). Then I used the Because I Shop 3mm straightliners vinyls across each nail. I put it a smidge closer to the cuticles. I didn’t want it in the middle and I wanted more of my tips covered. I then used 2 coats of China Glaze – Fifth avenue, making sure to remove the vinyls while the polish was still wet. Once it was all dry I stamped on the tips of my ring and middle finger using Lina twirls & swirls 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated everything and then I used a matte topcoat.
I was initially going to stamp using a metallic pink but when I did a test run I didn’t think it was showing up too well. Now I think it might’ve worked well. Oh well, next time right? Do you think this works? I am so in love with this colour of Fifth avenue and I am really into the matte lately too. I should maybe dial that down a bit 😉
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
