Hey lovelies,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Mine was quiet but good. I have a very long to-do list this week so here’s hoping I get to it all.
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is white and silver and initially all I could think of was doing silver leopard print on white (I still want to do this) but then I got some new nail art goodies and another idea was born. Let me show you,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Cabana fever and let that dry completely. I then whipped out my new spider gel and started playing for the first time. I wanted to create s sugar spun kind of look but from all directions. So I went to work with the spider gel and cured it. I then used silver holographic pigment powder on the black spider gel, topcoated it and cured it again.
It didn’t turn out perfectly and some of the black is still visible in parts. I am quite happy with my first attempt with spider gel. I don’t really use a lot of gel but now that I have a decent lamp I might attempt a few more things. Back to this one though, what do you think?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Look at you, doing all sort of fancy stuff with gels 😀
It does look very pretty though, but I’m not going to look into getting a lamp or gel polish myself. I would probably go bankrupt in a few hours 😉

Hahahahaha yeah I am definitely not getting into gels. I don’t want the longevity of gels but I have a gel topcoat and a small cheapie lamp. Mostly for pigments etc.
