Hello lovelies,
I feel like I was just here saying happy Monday and here we are again. I hope you had a spectacular weekend and ready for the week ahead.
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is Vinyls and you don’t have to ask me twice. I love vinyls and they really make for fun nail art. The only questions was, which vinyls to use. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Mavala – Gold bronze on all my nails. Once that was completely dry I went to work with the vinyls. I use the Because I Shop – Ziggy zaggy squared vinyls. I then did a gradient over that using Mavala – South beach pink and Mavala – Fresh melon, making sure to remove the vinyl before the polish dries. I topcoated and voila!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why didn’t I do the gradient first and THEN used the vinyls and added Mavala – Gold bronze. Here’s why. I thought the creme polishes might get a slight metallic tint if it was done over the Gold bronze or at least add a little something. I am not sure if that really worked and it would probably have been a better gradient effect if I did it first but I didn’t hate it. What do you think? Does it work? I am actually so in love with that base colour I had to do a swatch too
Mavala – Gold bronze
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a duchrome shifting gold, bronze and green. It has a beautiful formula and a great opacity. I have a feeling this might be a winner for stamping too.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Nope, don’t see anything metallic about those cremes but I do see pretty colors and a lovely gradient… definite win in my book 🙂

Thank you so much. I definitely should’ve done the gradient first but I am happy it still works 😀
