52 week nail art challenge – Week 28: Stripes

I hope you had a great weekend. I have so much to do today so I hope I get to crush that to-do list! I am ready for the week!

Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image

The prompt this week is stripes. If you’ve been around the last few weeks you might’ve noticed there’s been a LOT of stripes lately. Needless to say I was a little stumped at first. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of OPI – DS Extravagance on my pinky and 2 coats of OPI – You’re such a BudaPest on the rest of my nails. While that was drying I got to work with my stripes. I stamped using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then filled in between the lines with Sinful Colors – Snow me white. I left that to dry and then used OPI – DS Extravagance on the tips of my ring and middle finger. Once everything was dry I applied the strip of stripes where the two colours meet on my middle and ring finger. I topcoated and tah-dah!

I was surprised by how much I liked this combination. Do you think it is ‘stripes’ enough? I was considering changing the white to an even lighter lilac shade but in the end I thought he white was great contrast.
