This week is flying by again but considering it is a short week it might just be because I am rushing to get through the to-do list. So why not just double up ? 😉
I had a few more comparison requests (yay!) so I am again splitting them into separate posts. These are all holo based so it’s bound to be a good one. I just want to say up front that I am going to try and explain difference in finishes but I don’t really have the technical terms so please excuse me if I sound silly but I hope it will make sense. Let’s go
On my index and pinky I have 2 coats of China Glaze – 2NITE and on my middle and ring finger I have 2 coats of Color Club – Crystal baller. Both of them are a lilac toned holo even though the holo flare of Crystal baller gives it quite a blue tone in the photos. In real life they we quite similar in colour shade. 2NITE is a very chrome / metallic finish with a very linear holo whereas Crystal baller has a more foil type finish with linear holo. 2Nite almost looks like liquid metal and you can see this quite clearly in this photo with the very smooth and even looking finish. I would say the holo in Crystal baller is a bit more potent in all lights but 2NITE is still quite strong.
Both of these have a great formula and applies really well and has full opacity in 2 coats. They are definitely not the same. Even just in finish it is quite clear even though they are closer in colour. You can definitely use both of these in your collection.
