This is the second comparison post for today so I am just going to jump straight into it.
This is another requested comparison but I added some more into it. These are all silver holos so I grabbed 2 extra ones to throw into the comparison. As with my previous post, I am going to try and describe the finishes as best I can and probably not using the right terms 😉 Let’s go,
On my index I have 2 coats of China Glaze – OMG, on my middle finger I have 2 coats of Color Club – Harp on it. On my ring finger I have 2 coats of ILNP – Mega and on my pinky I have 2 coats of China Glaze – I sea ponies. I am going to start on my pinky. I sea ponies is a perfectly fine and nice silver holo but next to the other 4 VERY holo polishes it doesn’t really stand much of a chance. To me Color Club – Harp on it and ILNP – Mega is much more similar. On my photo Mega looks a smidge darker but in real life they were very very similar in colour and finish. Both of these are more like the foil type finish that I also explained in the other post. Both of these are also linear holo and very potent. China Glaze – OMG is also the metallic / chrome type finish with linear holo.
For me, Color Club – Harp on it and ILNP – Mega was very similar and you might not necessarily need both BUT Mega is a smidge more on the sheer side so I think you could definitely use this as a topper over a colour to give it a holo finish. For that reason I would say you could use both. All of them are silver but because the finish is slightly different I do think you can find a spot for each of them in your collection. If you need to drop one I would say I sea ponies is probably the least holo of them all. Even though it is still a perfectly nice polish.
