Hey guys,
That was a long long weekend and I am ready to take on this week. How was your weekend?
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is Paisley. Who doesn’t like paisley right? When I started forming this idea I was a little concerned that it wouldn’t be ‘real’ paisley so I did a quick search about what Paisley actually is. Turns out the biggest characteristic of paisley is the tear drop shape and the angled ‘tail’ part. That made me happy as I sometimes wondered if the intricate design inside those shapes is what really made it paisley. So here we are with my version
I started with 2 coats of Jessica – Yellow lightning on my index and middle finger and 1 coat of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on my pinky and ring finger. I then stamped on my pinky and ring finger using Line – make your mark 03 and Mundo de Unas – Turquoise and Mundo de Unas – Tutti. I then stamped on my index and middle finger using Born Pretty Store Harunouta plate L020 using first Mundo de Unas – Tutti and then Mundo de Unas – Turquoise. I topcoated and that was that.
I used the blank image on Make your Mark 03 to stamp the gradient but I definitely need some more practice with that. It’s not the best gradient but hopefully it does the job. I wanted to do it this way to make sure the stamping is the same colour as the gradient. I am quite drawn to these colours together. What do you think? This was very bright and fun.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
You really want to know who doesn’t like paisley?
No? I thought so :p
It’s definitely bright and colorful and as far as I’m concerned you can’t go wrong with combining primary colors 🙂
