Hello lovelies,
This has been a long week and I have accomplished a lot. I could probably do with another day to finish that to-do list but I am very thankful it is weekend! How has your week been?
It’s time for another Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce . So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last friday of each month. This month it was Juanita’s turn to choose and she chose this design by Juli from @Juli_addicted and of course, it is a beautiful design. I won’t lie though, I struggled my butt off. I don’t know what threw me off but it just wasn’t connecting with me. Usually I can see something and immediately figure a way to do it or make it my own. This time it just wasn’t working our for me. This is even more frustrating because it is such a gorgeous design. Of course, I did do something. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Let’s chalk about it on all my nails. Once that was dry I stamped the ‘strokes’ using Lina – Make your mark 01 and Mundo de Unas – Fantasy and Mundo de Unas – Sky blue. I then stamped the lace using MoYou – Bridal 08 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used a small dotting tool and Nubar – Noir to make the small dots across the ‘strokes’. I topcoated and voila!
I’ll be honest, I don’t love it. I did do a practice round with different colours and before I could redo it my nail broke. Which probably just made me more miserable. Luckily I did have some help with the colours (thank you!). I don’t hate it, I just don’t love it and I am hoping it is at least close enough to the original that it makes sense. I really struggled and the sudden nail break didn’t help but what do you think? I am sure the other two ladies will be knocking it out of the park so pop over to Juanita and Joyce to see their versions.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
I can see you didn’t have much love for this manicure, but I really like the colors and I love the idea of the lace on the side 🙂

Hahaha that obvious? Thank you! I felt like the lace on the side was the only way to make it work 😉
Juanita
I actually really like this!! I love that you used the brush strokes. And the lace on the sides just works.
I’m sorry you had such a tough time… But I do think you nailed it!

Thank you! It wouldn’t have been half as bad if my nail didn’t break half way through 😛
Candy
I love this look and the colours really work, might just give it a try!

Thank you so much Candy! I’d love to see if you do (did) xx
