Happy birthday Briget

I know, a post on a Sunday is quite unusual but it is a very special day!!

Of course today is my very special friend Briget’s birthday! It really should be a national holiday! As usual, we all did some nail art to celebrate the occasion. It seemed like an easy choice to pick a ‘theme’. Any time you ask Briget what her favourite colour is she always says HOLO!! So….holo it was. Let me show you what I did and then tell you why!

I started with 2 coats of Colour Club – Miss bliss on my pinky and index and 2 coats of Color Club – Star light, star bright on my middle and ring finger. While that was drying I got to work on the decals. I used the Because I Shop vinyls. I used the Hearts (small) and the Crowned vinyls on my matt. I first made a layer of black and then over that did a Color Club – Star light, star bright for the hearts and Color Club – Miss bliss on the crown. I then also tried to make a freehand ‘B’ decal using a thin brush, black and then added Color Club – Star light, star bright. While that was drying I stamped on my middle finger using BM-H19 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then applied the heart decals on my index finger, I added the ‘B’ to my pinky and then added the crown to my ring finger. I then added some tiny rhinestones to the peaks of the crown.

Because the prompt was holo I tried to use very holo polishes. I can’t think of a better way to show the holo off a bit better than using a flash pic. So here we go

As usual, this looked much better in my head, but let tell you why I did this. Firstly, if you ‘read’ my nails it will be “Happy birthday queen B’. I know she shares y love of pink so there had to be some pink in there. I also chose a goldish tone because Briget is as precious as gold. I also added the red little rhinestones to the crown to represent rubies because my friend is as rare as rubies too. She is one of a kind and just super precious!
