#Enough

Hey guys,

I hope you have had a great week and have a perfect weekend planned. I am grateful it is weekend because I am ready for some relaxing.

The world hasn’t always been kind to women but in the last few weeks South Africa has become a terrible and frightening place for women. Last week while I was celebrating my birthday and spending time with my cousin I didn’t spend much time on social media. I was however acutely aware of the devastating news. Women and children being murdered and assaulted. This isn’t a new problem but it seems to be happening daily and so viciously. I am sad. I am scared. I am angry. I am also proud of how the woman of South Africa are standing up and demanding their voices be heard. Our voices. The voices that someone tried too silent.

I don’t have the words to say everything that should be said. I want to remember those victims. Their names. Their stories. Their lives. I don’t want to focus on the monsters who do this. I want to to stand with the other women in my country, in the world and make sure we are heard. I want to say #enough! Enough of the rape, enough of the murder, enough of the assaults. Leave our children alone. Anyway, I am a little sad and I thought I would reflect that in my nails today.

I started with 2 coats of OPI – Never have too mani friends on all my nails and let that dry completely. I then used a thin brush and Sinful Colors – Snow me white to write the #ENOUGH across my nails. I then used Lina – Make your mark 02 and Mundo de Unas – White to stamp the hand print on my index. I topcoated and that was that.
