52 week nail art challenge – Week 38: Spring / Autumn

I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Tomorrow is a public holiday so it’s really still weekend for me.

The prompt this week is spring / autumn and seeing as we are heading straight into spring here in the Southern Hemisphere I thought I would choose something spring like. I had this idea brewing and then I walked past my desk where there was a gift bag from my birthday (My cousin spoilt me rotten) and I just KNEW I had to use it. I’ll show you the bag and then what I did.

This is the gorgeous gift bag. Now let me show you what I did

I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails. While that was drying I started with the flowers. I stamped using BP-L067 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured it in with China Glaze – Are you orchid-ing me? and China Glaze – Barre hopping for the purple hues. China Glaze – My sweet lady and China Glaze – Bodysuit yourself for the pink hues. I then used China Glaze – All glammed up and China Glaze – Emerald bae for the leaves. While the flowers were drying I stamped the stripes using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then applied the flowers in random places on each nail. I then filled up some spaces with the gold butterflies using Lina – Opposites attract 01 and Mundo de Unas – Gold. I topcoated and that was that.

I know I wanted to to stripes and flowers and I was so glad when I saw that gift bag because it was exactly the inspiration I needed. I really liked the combination of flowers and stripes and the colours. What do you think? Also….someone else might have been a little inspired by the same bag…..check out here 😉
