Jungle butterflies

I hope you’ve had an awesome week! Mine has been a bit of a minefield but that’s ok. It’s almost over and hopefully the weekend will be a lot of relaxing.

There is always a new technique or a new product that surfaces for something new or something better with nail art. One of those things is the foil stamping polish. I have been trying for the longest time to get my hands on some from Moyra but every time I try to place an order there is an issue and I can’t get it. I once even placed an order and then was told they’re out of stock and a friend ordered the next day and got some. I am going to see this as a sign that I am just not meant to have it. I really really want to do foil stamping because I have so much foil. So I thought I would give it a go the ‘old fashioned’ way. Let me show you what I have.

I started with 2 coats of I-Scream nails – Jungle juice on all my nails. I left that to dry completely while I did the stamping on my mat. I stamped using Lina- Spring 01 and Dollish Polish – Black velvet and then immediately added the foil before the stamping dried. I then applied foil glue to my whole nail on my ring finger and when it was dry, I applied foil to my ring finger. I then removed the stamping from my mat and applied it to my ring and middle finger. I topcoated all the foil with a water based topcoat and once it was dry I went in with my regular seche vite topcoat.

What do you think? Do you like trying all the different techniques and products for nail art? I sometimes feel like I can’t keep up with all the new stuff but it’s always so interesting. Is there something you would like to try?
