Hey guys,
Wow this week is just flying by! I hope you’re having a good one.
I have a final review from one of my favourite nail art stores today. I have a thermal stamping polish from Born Pretty Store to show you. You can find the thermal polish here and here is an image from the website.
I have the polish in shade BP-I08 – Blue Enchantress which is the same shade as the image above. Now, before I show you what I did I need to speak to the thermal properties. Of course, thermal doesn’t last forever and when it is exposed to extreme heat or cold it also has an effect on the thermal properties. In the image above the colour shows the shift from a light turquoise blue to a darker purple toned blue. Lastly, it is summer at the moment and it is super hot which makes it a bit harder to get it cold enough to show the true cold shade. Now let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of the Thermal stamping polish on my pinky and 2 coats of China Glaze – Dorothy Who on the rest of my nails. I then used BP-L006 and the thermal stamping polish to stamp the zig zag chevrons on my index and middle finger. I topcoated everything and that was that.
First of all, I just love the colour of this stamping polish. It is a beautiful shade of blue and stamps really really well too. In real life, there is definitely a shift when I put my hands in cold water. I don’t know if it is as strong as their image on the website shows but I don’t know if that is because of the temperature exposure while it travelled to me, age or just because it is so extremely hot here. In the second photo you can see the colour shift better on my pinky. I don’t know if the stamping image would’ve been better if it was more vertical to show the shift better. Like I said, I could definitely see the colour shift in real life.
This stamping polish stamps really well and even if the thermal part wasn’t there it was still a great stamping polish. I also used it as regular polish on my pinky it worked pretty well too. What do you think of it? Have you tried a thermal stamping polish before? If you want to grab one of these polishes – or anything else – don’t forget to use my discount code below to get 10% off.
