52 week nail art challenge – Week 51: Christmas

I hope you had a fabulous weekend and that most of you are on holiday by now. Or at least very close to it!

Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image

The prompt this week is Christmas, obviously. I really struggle with holiday themed nail art. I’ve done so many over the years myself and there are so many out there. I struggle to think of something new or different. Because it is summer here, the usual ‘wintery’ Christmas isn’t really what we have but I do love them. So let me show you what I did come up with.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Ho! Ho! No! on my index and middle finger, 2 coats of China Glaze – Merry whatever on my ring finger and 2 coats of OPI – Never have too mani friends on my pinky. I then stamped on my ring finger using BM-H01 and Mundo de Unas – Black and used a bit of Ho! Ho! No! for his nose. I then stamped the plaid on my middle and index using BPL-041 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I topcoated everything and then went in with a matte topcoat. Voila!

This is definitely different to anything I have done for Christmas but it isn’t unique at all. Do you think it is Christmas enough? I hope you’re having a fabulous holiday season and enjoying the last few hours till Christmas.
