Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine went by as quickly as last week did. I am so ready to take on this week though. I am hoping if the weeks keep going fast, summer will be over faster 😉
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt this week is school. I was not super excited to see this prompt again because I struggled so much with it last year. Last year I wanted to do something but I saw a sneak peek from someone else and they had done it so I changed my mind last minute. Then I thought I would give it a go this year. I loved school and my favourite thing was starting a new book or a fresh sheet of paper and I love pencils. Even now my schedule is written with pencil. So I thought paper and pencils would be perfect. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Color Club – Silver lake on my middle and ring finger and 2 coats of Essence – Shade of happiness on my pinky and index. Once it was dry I stamped on my middle and ring finger using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and first Mundo de Unas – Sky blue for the horizontal lines and then Mundo de Unas – Orchid for the vertical line. On my pinky and index I stamped the vertical lines using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Geranium. I then used MoYou London – Frenchy 09 to stamp the tips with Mundo de Unas – Orchid and then a thinner one to stamp the gold strip using Mundo de Unas – Gold. I topcoated everything and once it was dry I went in with a matte topcoat on the pink tips (to make it look more like the eraser). That’s it!
What do you associate with school? Do you think this work? I am not sure if I would like to see this prompt show up again next year though 😉
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Love it! I immediately recognized pencils and paper when I saw the picture and I hadn’t even read the post yet, so it definitely works 🙂
