52 week nail art challenge – Week 3: Metallic

I hope you had a great weekend. We have had a bit of cooler weather so I am thrilled to not be melting. I am also ready to take on this week.

Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.

The prompt this week is metallic and I had an idea brewing for a few days. I knew that I wanted to use Essie – Penny talk because it is a gorgeous colour and can stamp. It didn’t quite go according to plan but the general idea was still there. Thanks to a friends help it turned out better than my original idea did. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of Essie – Penny talk on my pinky and 2 coats of China Glaze – This is ranunculus on the rest of my nails. While that was drying I stamped using Lina – Feeling shapely 05 and Mundo de Unas – Joy. I then used a small nail art brush and Essie – Penny talk to fill in the second triangle on each batch. I then applied this to my middle and index, topcoated and that was that.

I originally stamped with penny talk and filled in with blue but I think this worked out much better. What do you think? Does it work? Do you like metallic polishes?
