Friday Triad – Inspired by @manicure.d

This week has just flown by and has turned into quite an interesting one. I hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead.

It’s the last Friday of the month which means it is time for Friday Triad with  Juanita and Joyce.   So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post.  You can look forward to these posts on the last Friday of each month.  This month it was Juanita’s turn to choose and she chose this interesting design from Marta from @manicure.d. Even though I really love the design I had no idea what do or how I was going to interpret it. I did 5 different versions before finding one that was ok. Let me show you.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Cherish on my ring finger and 2 coats of OPI – Funny bunny on the rest of my nails. I then stamped on the white using Lina – Make your mark 06 and first Mundo de Unas – Dark gray and then Mundo de Unas – Peace. I then added another coat of OPI – Funny Bunny to make a stamp sandwich. Once that was dry I stamped on my middle finger using MoYou London – Frenchy 09 and China Glaze – Cherish. I topcoated everything and that was that.

I really struggled with this. Like I said, I redid this 5 times with different colours each time. My biggest issue was finding the right contrast between the metallic and the stamping. I did prefer this green combination out of all of them. I did like doing the stamp sandwich which I ‘stole’ from the inspiration. So, I am glad I managed to whip something up but it’s nowhere near as great as the inspiration. I can’t wait to see what the other ladies create so pop over to  Juanita and Joyce  to see their creations!
