Hey lovelies,
I hope you had a great weekend. I’m so thrilled about cooler weather.
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt this week is hearts which is perfect as we are approaching valentines day. I knew I didn’t really want to do the ‘traditional’ valentines day design so I thought I would give this a try. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Royal blue on all my nails. While that was drying I stamped using Lina – All about love 02 and Essence – Royal blue. I then coloured in each row of hearts with different colours. I used Essence – Shade of happiness, Essence – Kiss the freaky frog and Essence – Coral me crazy. Once the hearts were dry I peeled off each heart individually and placed them on my nails. I placed a row vertically down my middle and ring finger and then one each on my pinky and index. I topcoated everything and then finished off with a matte topcoat.
Of course I am undecided as always and couldn’t decide between and matte and glossy but at least I took photos of both. What do you prefer?
I think I am leaning towards the matte version but I don’t hate the glossy version. I really enjoyed wearing this and it was a little different from the ‘traditional’. I also decided to stamp using the same colour as the base polish so that the hearts were just solid colours with no border. In hindsight I might’ve tried stamping with silver. What do you think?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Matte! Definitely matte!
And I think you picked the best color to stamp with. I personally think silver would have been overpowering to the hearts (but hey, who am I, right? 😉 )
