Hey guys,
That was a good weekend. I hope you had a good one too. I am hoping this week is a little more productive for me.
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is foil. This was also the first nail art after my surgery so I knew I was going to have to keep it really simple and easy. I am actually surprised how much I am struggling to get back into it. I am hoping it is something that will resolve as the discomfort becomes less. It’s been such a struggle that I don’t think I will be able to have a post for Wednesday. I promise to get back on track from next week though. (I am so thankful I had a good few posts drafted before surgery). Anyway, back to this post. I knew it was going to be simple and easy and it couldn’t be more simple than this. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Gossip girl on all my nails. Once it was completely dry I applied the pink foil to my whole ring finger nail and diagonally across the tip of my middle nail. I topcoated those two nails with my Essence – water based topcoat and let it dry. I then stamped the black line where the foil joined the polish on my middle finger using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used Line – Twirls & swirls 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black to add the swirls to each nail. I topcoated again with the water based topcoat and that was that.
I am always a fan of pink and grey together and this combo was nice too. I do like the look of the foils, I just wish it wasn’t so hit and miss when it came to foils. Do you use foils often? Do you have any secrets or tips to share? 😉
Thanks for reading (and see you on Friday!)
Joyce
It may be simple, but it is pretty and isn’t that what nail art (or just polishing nails) is all about? 😉
Btw. still waiting for that tutorial… 😛
