Hey lovelies,
I hope you have had a fabulous week. I am still trying to get back to normal so this week flew by. Of course, the longer the to-do list the shorter the days right? At least today we have beautiful cool rainy weather and I am loving it!
It’s the last Friday of the month which means it is time for Friday Triad with Juanita and Joyce. So once a month we will make turns choosing someones nail art to use as inspiration for this post. You can look forward to these posts on the last Friday of each month. This month it was Joyce’s turn to choose and she chose this gorgeous design from @gert_nails. This is right up my alley and the last time I did something along this line it was one of my favourites. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Recycle on my pinky and ring finger and 2 coats of China Glaze – Are you orchid-ing me? on my middle and index. Once that was complexly dry I started with the stamping. I started with the little squares using W201 and Mundo de Unas – White. I then did the grey lines using Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Light gray. I stamped the leaf on my middle finger using Lina – Autumn 01 and Mundo de Unas – Light gray. I stamped the leaves on my index using W426 and BP-L066 and Mundo de Unas – Light gray. I topcoated everything and finished it off with a matte topcoat.
I was having a bit of an internal debate about this. One of the things I love about the original is the sharp contrast with the stamping and here I went a bit more muted. I have already done the contrasting stamping so I thought the muted version would be a change. Once it was done I was worried that it doesn’t look as good when it is all a bit muted. The more I looked at it the more I liked it thought. What do you think? Too grey and muted? I am looking forward to seeing what the other ladies create so pop over to Juanita and Joyce to see their creations!
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Beautiful! I have to admit the sharp contrast was what attracted me first to the original manicure but this muted version is really pretty too. It’s a bit more feminine and less edgy, I guess ?
