Hello lovelies,
I hope you’ve all survived the week and are all safe. It’s crazy times but we are all just trying to make the best of it.
It’s time for the next instalment of My polish, your plate. Joyce and I will be challenging each other every first and third Friday of the month. One of us will pick the stamping plate and the other will pick the polish. If we don’t have the exact same polish / plate it can be substituted for something similar. This choice will be made by the person who picked. From there it is free reign as long as the polish and the image on the plate is main focus.
This week Joyce chose the polish – OPI I love you just be-cusco – and I chose the stamping plate – Pueen104. I was quite excited to use that image but once I got started things changed quickly. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of OPI – I love you just be-cusco on my pinky and ring finger and 2 coats of Jessica Jean – Strawberry frosting on my index and middle finger. While that was drying I started with the stamping. I stamped using Pueen104 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used a thin nail art brush and OPI – I love you just be-cusco to fill in the lines. I applied these to my index and middle finger, topcoated and voila!
When I chose the stamping plate I was quite excited to use that image but once I started working on it I lost a bit of that excitement. Not because there is anything wrong with the image but it just didn’t end up the way I had envisioned. I did at a time consider using more than one colour because the ‘strings’ in the image overlaps. Maybe that would’ve worked out better. Either way, it wasn’t too bad. I like the base polish with the red glitter with the red ‘strings’. What do you think?
I am really excited to see what Joyce comes up with so pop over there to see what she came up with.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
OMG… we basically did the exact same manicure *can’t stop giggling*
