52 week nail art challenge – Week 13: Purple + grey

If you’re anything like me, this lockdown has my days all melting into one. It is Monday though and that means it is time for another post. I hope you’ve had a good weekend and managing well so far. It’s only day 4, we can do this!!

The prompt this week is purple and grey. As usual, I had a million ideas so I started on getting down to one solid idea. During this process I started looking for the polish I wanted to use. Once I got those the game changed for me. I loved the polishes so much I knew I wasn’t going to cover it up or do much ‘art’. Let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of Dollish Polish – Zombie boy on my pinky, ring and middle finger and 2 coats of Dollish Polish – I don’t need rescuing on my index. I then used tape to section off my middle and ring finger diagonally and then added Dollish Polish – I don’t need rescuing. I removed the tape immediately and let that dry a little. I then used Lina – Feeling shapely 01 and Mundo de Unas – Silver to stamp a thing silver line where the two colours join. I topcoated and that was that.

I liked these polishes so much I didn’t really want to cover it too much. I was also pretty sure it wouldn’t stamp well so this is what I ended up with. It’s not the best purple and grey nails I’ve ever see but I really wanted to use these polishes together.
