Hey guys,
Happy Easter and happy Monday everyone! I know with lockdown the weekend probably didn’t look the way you expected it to but I hope you had a good one anyway. Filled with love and chocolate and of course, remembering the reason for the season.
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is easter, obviously. I have mentioned before how my ideas for themed holidays seem to be running out. I just can’t bring myself to do more bunny or chick nails today. So I decided to stick to easter colours and let’s see what happens. Let me show you what I came up with.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Barre hopping on my pinky and 2 coats of Color Club – Silver lake on the rest of my nails. I then used Because I shop – Straight liners 1.5mm vinyls on my ring finger and filled in the lines using China Glaze – Barre hopping, China Glaze – Lemon fizz, China Glaze – Spring jungle and Color Club – Wicker park. I then used the same colours and different sized dotting tools to make random polka dots on the rest of my nails. I topcoated everything and then ended up with a matte topcoat.
In the end this reminded me of speckled eggs and that’s easter enough right? 😉 I am actually a little sad the green doesn’t show up so well. I purposefully used a very light grey white instead of pure white but I think it affected how the green shows up. I do also really like the pinky combination. What do you think? Eastery enough?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Happy Easter!
Your nails are definitely Easter-y enough, the first thought that popped in my head was “painted eggs” so that should tell you enough 😉

Yes, Michelle light grey white is looking good but the pinky combination is awesome.
