Hey guys,
I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Or a long one in our case. The cooler weather is here, I am still healthy and safe, what more could a girl need? (Except maybe everything that is still not available to purchase but hey).
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
It’s the first nail art I am doing after breaking a nail and it feels completely different. It doesn’t even feel like my nails :P. I was actually busy doing this nail art when my nail finally gave in so I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do. Of course, it just looks very different now. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – High def on my pinky and index and 2 coats of China Glaze – Hydrangea dangea on my middle and ring finger. I stamped the ‘rain’ image on my middle and ring finger using Lina Autumn 01 and Mundo de Unas – White. I then stamped the umbrella using Lina – Autumn 01 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used China Glaze – High def to colour in the umbrellas before placing them in my middle and ring finger. I topcoated and that was that.
Of course, this isn’t an original idea but I knew I wanted to recreate it at some point. The weather prompt seemed to the perfect time. Chilly rainy days are my favourite and the shades of blue seemed to work perfectly for that. It’s almost grey blue. What do you think? Does it work?
There is only one post this week but from next week I am hoping to be back in normal schedule. I need to get out of this lockdown funk at some point and it seems the best way is to just get on with it. Thank you for your patience with me.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Again the same idea! Although rainy days are definitely not my favorite 😉
High Def is absolutely perfect for rainy things… yep, another one for the Joyce-box!
