52 week nail art challenge – Week 23: Gold & Black

I swear the weekend has just flown by. I blinked and it’s Monday. Did you have a good weekend?

Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio.  As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.

The prompt this week is gold & black and I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to do stars and I knew I wanted them to be matte. So let me show you what I did,

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Shades & gentleman on all my nails and left that to dry. I then stamped on all my nails using Moyra 58 – Step by step and Mundo de Unas – Light gold.I topcoated and once it was dry I added a matte topcoat.

I really liked how this turned out. It’s so simple but I just love the combination. I wasn’t sure about using a more ‘traditional” yellow toned gold but this is really my preferred tone and it’s still gold so I just went with it. I even considered rose gold. What do you think?
