Hi lovelies,
Happy Friday! This has been a bit of a rough week for me but look at that. Made it to Friday in one piece.
I have some studs from Born Pretty Store (which is my favourite place to buy nail art supplies) to show you today. I’ve had them for a while and I’ve been dying to do some nail art with them. When I saw a light pink polish I just knew the time has come. These studs come in round, square or triangle. They are black with white polka dots. I chose the round ones because I thought it would be a shape I would use more. They are a great size too. The round ones are 3mm. Just the size I like for round studs. Let me show you what I did with them.
I started with 3 coats of Tip Top – Melting marshmallow. Once that was completely dry I taped off the tips of all my nails except my ring finger. I then added Sinful Colors – Black on black, removing the tape immediately. Once I had done all the nails I went back in with my smallest dotting tool and Sinful Colors – Snow me white and made little polka dots. Or tried to anyway. I messed them up a bit but from a distance they still look great 😛 On my ring finger I used topcoat to apply two round studs. I thought it looked pretty cute. What do you think?
I also have a swatch for you
Tip Top – Melting marshmallow
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. It’s the lightest, fluffiest pink creme. Nice formula and opacity for such a light colour. I am still so sad that Tip Top has ‘closed down’ without any news of what their big announcement was about.
So, what do you think of the studs? Aren’t they cute!? I just couldn’t decide on what to do with them because I had so many ideas. So you can definitely look out for them in future.
