Bye bye HoneyB.co.za

I am both excited and sad about saying goodbye to HoneyB.co.za.

HoneyB.co.za was born in 2006.  Back in the day I was a frequent online chatter.  Before twitter and Facebook.  My username has always been Honey.  I met my husband online on IRC and not long after we were living together and engaged.  He helped me create my own little space on the big www and seeing as ‘Honey’ is quite generic it obviously meant that the domain was not available.  “HoneyB” was born. HoneyB has always been my space where I could be and say whatever I wanted but HoneyB has never felt like ME.  The name has always felt a bit like settling, like second best.  I have come to embrace it over the years but I think there is something more appropriate…..

That coupled with some technical stuff I don’t completely understand – but husband explains it perfectly – meant that I get to ‘rebrand’ HoneyB.co.za.  Welcome to….

Why OrdinaryMisfit?

I’ve always been somewhat of a misfit.  In more than one way.  I am a misfit in my family.  I just don’t seem to fit in anywhere because I am either not following the same rules or have the same outlook.  I am a general misfit in an ordinary world.  I don’t always conform, I don’t always do things the ‘normal’ way.  I make up my own rules as I go along and I have strong opinions about some things and no opinions about others.  I am who I am – take it or leave it.  I have pink hair and tattoos.  I have a pierced tongue and I don’t follow fashion.  I am sentimental about objects (some might call it junk) and I appreciate good times over good things.  I have big dreams and floaty ideas.  I long to fit in but fight to stand out.  I am often misunderstood but I feel most at home with my husband and our pets who love me no matter who I am.  I am absolutely ok with who I am.  You get the idea….

I still just see myself as an ordinary girl. A misfit in an ordinary world….

The look has changed but the content stays the same.  All feedburner feeds for HoneyB.co.za have all been changed to point to OrdinaryMisfit so there is no need for you to change anything.  If you link to me in any other way then please go ahead and update those links.  For a few months HoneyB.co.za will redirect here so you should have time to do so at your earliest convenience.
