It was bought to my attention that May is Lupus Awareness month and that many nail folk are doing purple nails in support. I have not been affected by Lupus directly but I know of many people who have. I wanted to show my support to friends, their families and anyone else that has been affected by Lupus. with my purple nail creation. If you want more information about Lupus please have a peep here.
I started off with three coats of Sinful Colors – Purple Diamond and on my accent nail I have two coats of Essence – Prom-Berry. I then stamped using my Essence stamping plate. Unfortunately they are not numbered so I can’t give you an identifying number but I do have photos of all the plates on the Facebook page. I stamped using Essence – Prom-Berry and on the accent nail I stamped using Tip Top – Armour Plate. I then added a tiny rhinestone on a flower on each nail. I used purple on the other nails and silver on the accent nail.
Unfortunately you can see on my pinky that the rhinestone shifted and moved some of the polish with it. Oh well, I bet if I didn’t mention it you wouldn’t have noticed it immediately right? 😉
Out of interest. I got these rhinestones from Planet Nails. If you enjoy nail art or even nail polish you definitely have to pay them a visit. They have actual stores but you can also buy from them online. I bought these forever ago but if I remember correctly these were R25. I think there are 100 of different colour and shapes. You can choose different ones though. Check it out and let me know what you NEED first. I know, everything right?
What do you think of the purple? I must say I love the look of purple diamond. It’s a little sheer at first so next time I might start with a layer of polish underneath.
Thanks for reading!

Awww thank you so much!!! I LOVE this Sinful. I got it from Clicks. It’s only recently been in our store even though it isn’t a new colour at all. I still wanted to add a photo with just that to show what it looks like.
I am also not a rhinestone fan but these tiny tiny ones I am actually enjoying!
Thanks hunny!! Means a lot coming from you!
Siobhan
damn you clicks stores!!! grrrrrr! LOL
I think tiny rhinestones are always better than the big ones. I don’t know they’re just more dainty and cute.

I completely agree with Siobhan. I love that metallicy-purple, the stamp is pretty, and the rhinestones are cute, even if I’m not normally a huge fan.

Thanks so much Lesley!! I am not a fan myself but fortunately they are really tiny. 🙂

This is a beautiful and inspiring way to observe this month and spread an awareness about lupus, about which lots of people are not aware and do not realize the pain or discomfort a patient has to go through. Thanks a bunch for your creative efforts Michelle!!!!!
