I’ve started a new challenge!! Siobhan (For the Love of Nail Art), Thea (Madness Nails) and I will be doing this challenge for the next few weeks. I am sure you’ve seen the 31 Day challenge around and even though all of us really wanted to do a challenge we just didn’t have the time to do the 31 day challenge right now. We have adapted that challenge to make our own shorter version and named it the ‘MTV’ challenge. M = Michelle (me) T = Thea and V = Voni. We will all be posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays so make sure you follow the links to check out their creations as well. If you feel like joining us then please leave your link so I can link to you as well!
Let’s get the show on the road shall we? The first topic is – Red & Polka Dots:
Here I have used two coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me White on my pinky, index and thumb and two coats of Essence – Fame Fatal on my ring and middle finger. When that was nice and dry I used the same colours to do polka dots on all the fingers. As you can see the red dots on my index finger smudged like a whatsit. That’s after I had redone this already. I then topcoated with my China Glaze – Matte Magic matte topcoat.
This was however not the first look I was going for. Because I always share everything with you, my dear readers, here is the other look too. I decided to do the above nails afterwards because I couldn’t decide if I like these or not. What do you think?
Here I started with two coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me White on all my nails. Then I did an ombre polka dots with red starting with the darker red. I started with Essence Class of 2013 – Ready for Rush Week? and then used Essence – Fame Fatal and lastly, on the tips I used Essence – Redvolution.
Go have a look at the other posts for todays topic here:
All the polishes I used for these two looks?
Sinful Colors – Snow me White
Essence – Are you ready for rush week?
Essence – Fame Fatal
Essence – Redvolution
What do you think? I wasn’t super thrilled with either of these but I liked them enough to settle with it. I love polka dots and I know many of you do too. What do you think of this combination? How would you have interpreted todays topic? Are you joining us on this challenge? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!
