Hi lovelies,
I am really excited to show you this blush stick. I have been wearing it over the holidays and really enjoyed it so much. The lovely Essence folks sent it to me and I was super excited as it has been on my wish list for a while now. It is the Essence Blush Stick in Miss Peachy
First of all, this smells like sweets. I just love how the Essence products smell so delicious but it isn’t overpowering. The texture of this blush stick is also soft and smooth but still firm. I didn’t have to worry that I would end up with too much product.
I was a little intimidated at first to use this but it was a breeze with really great results. I know that last year there was another brand where the shade similar to this didn’t give much of a colour. I never used that one but I was really pleased with the result of the Essence Blush Stick.
This is what it looks like just applied (before blending). This can look a bit much but all it needs is a little blending. (I obviously used a much bigger area to make it more visible)
This is what it looks like after a bit of blending.
This also left my skin look healthy and moisturised which I really loved. I ended up using this quite a bit over the holiday season. My skin didn’t feel dry and it lasted a really long time too. It even made it through a swim one day – until I dried off with the towel.
I thoroughly enjoyed this blush stick. I also love that it is a small tube that can easily fit into my bag but still has a lot of product. If you are looking for a creamy blush then I can highly recommend this one. I liked how it made my skin feel compared to powder blushes – even though I do still use those.
I know these blush sticks are available at Dischem but I am not sure about Clicks. You can also find Essence on Facebook or Twitter. Make sure you keep an eye on them because they often announce new products (or products being discontinued) and new ranges.
Have you tried any of these blush sticks? What do you think of them?
Thanks for reading!

Damn you and damn essence. You make me want to buy all this stuff that I don’t have yet! This blush stick looks awesome once blended. I love how soft the colour is, but it looks like it could give you a nice glow. I haven’t tried their blush sticks yet, but once I run out of the essence Justin Bieber blush I bought I will likely give it a whirl.

Awesome review M! I like the idea of a blush stick but I already have an oily skin and my make-up always get’s shiny about 5hrs later. And doesn’t it pull your foundation when you apply it? Lol Sorry, this product baffles me! Will have to get it and try it for myself! 😛

Thanks so much T! Ok first of all, have you tried using the mattifying moisturising cream for UNDER your foundation? It really goes a long way for me to keep my skin from going oily and it doesn’t dry my skin out at all. I didn’t find it pulled my foundation off at all. I applied it by dabbing the stick on the skin and then blending it with my finger (or brush) and it didn’t affect my foundation at all. Hope this helps 😉
