Comparison: China Glaze – Jungle Queen vs No Plain Jane

Happy Friday! This week seemed to go quite fast and it’s already the end of January too.  It’s the beginning of the month of love tomorrow…..

I have another comparison today requested by Thea from Madness Nails.  She says she knows China Glaze Jungle Queen and No Plain Jane are quite different but wanted to see how different they were.  Of course, Jungle Queen is a creme and No Plain Jane is a duochrome.  It isn’t the strongest duochrome but is still a very gorgeous colour and in certain lights the colour looks completely different.  From a purple shade to an almost pinkish gold shade.

Here is the comparison.  Keep in mind, we know they are not dupes, this is just to see how different they are.

Heere I have 2 coats of Jungle Queen on my pinky and index with no topcoat.  A dusty purple/brown colour.  I have 3 coats of No Plain Jane on my ring and middle with no topcoat.  In reality No Plain Jane is a little more purplish but because of the metallic/chrome esque finish it also reflects a lot more of the light.  The colour at my tips is what it looks like.

If I could only have one of these which one would be?  Hmmm tough choice.  I do like both but I am a sucker for a gorgeous creme so Jungle Queen would be my choice because of the finish but I really like No Plain Jane as well.  Both have a great formulas.  No Plain Jane is a bit more thin and sheer but not difficult to work with at all.  3 easy coats is all you need.  Jungle Queen is a beauty in 2 coats and might possibly even be a 1 coater if that is your thing.
