Hi lovelies,
I have been talking about the #DBNBloggerMeet for a few days now and I thought that today I would show you all the yummy edible goodies we received. I have already mentioned the amazing Hashtag and delicious food we had there. I am still craving it let me tell you.
The tables were pretty laden with treats before the goodie bags even came out!
On the tables we were spoilt by:
Blink Mints treated us to not only mints but also a really cool sticker and a pen that is a pen on one side and a stylus on the other side. Unfortunately mine got feet so I didn’t get to take any of these spoils home. Can you believe that I have never had Blink Mints before? I definitely need to remedy this! Thank you Blink Mints! You can find them on Facebook, twitter or website
Smith’s Bakeshop treated us to the most delicious cupcakes. And I mean delicious! Nicola collected these on the Friday from Taryn and I only ate mine on Sunday but it tasted so fresh as if it was baked that same day! It was delicious and moist and just the right amount of sweet. I am also crazy about their labels on the little clear plastic container it came in. I could easily have these in my house permanently and I know now where I will be getting cupcakes from for my birthday and the hubbands birthday. Super delicious! Thank you so much Taryn. You can find Smith’s Bakeshop on Facebook or on their website (website under construction for now)
Madame Macaron really spoilt us! The lovely Viveshni even offered to drop off the goodies on the day so that we didn’t have to worry about collecting. How amazing is that? She also really spoilt us with 3 beautiful and delicious macarons each and a beautiful cake pop. My macarons were also misplaced in the chaos but I have heard everyones rave reviews and I can’t wait to order a few more from Viveshni. I did have the cake pop though and it was amazing! I suspect I could’ve had a few more to be honest 😉 These baked deliciousness was pretty and yummy! Viveshni is also at a few of the markets around Durban so if you are there please support her. You won’t be sorry and I am sure you will be back for more! You can find Madame Macaron on Facebook, twitter and their website.
Inside out goodie bags we had a whole bunch of treats as well!
GreenLeaf Olive Company spoilt us absolute rotten with a bottle of their amazing Saint Sebastian Bay extra virgin olive oil. This folks, is the cream of the crop. South African olive oil, proper home grown. And when it says extra virgin olive oil it means absolutely pure olive oil. (Did you know that many ‘extra virgin’ oils are often seed oils and not pure olive oil?) I don’t cook with oil often as we mostly grill or use the air fryer but when I do I usually use olive oil. I used this one for the first time on Sunday when I made roasted veggies and it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be stocking up with Greenleaf olive oil from now on. You can find them on Facebook and twitter or their website.
Tasha’s Fudge treated us to a packet of delicious fudge! I don’t eat fudge often as I prefer salty snacks but when I do crave that something sweet I always pick up a packet of Tasha’s fudge. It always hits the spot. Tasha’s is my favourite fudge, so smooth and rich and creamy. Thank you so much Tasha! You can find Tasha’s on Facebook, twitter or their website.
Chocolate Memories is handmade chocolate made by husband and wife team Tammy and Edi. They moved to the Drakensberg in search of a more peaceful, quiet and simple life. Let me just say that I feel very peaceful and quiet when I eat this chocolate. I could almost hear the chorus of angels. Again, I am not really a sweet fan but rather salty but this chocolate is just delicious. It is smooth and rich and creamy and everything you would want from a luxury chocolate. yes I said luxury because this tastes like a luxury chocolate. Those that you pay a small fortune for and are imported. I also really love the gold foiled wrapped and the almost ‘brown paper’ look of the wrapping. It screams rustic. If you haven’t tried this chocolate, try to get your hands on some. I had the milk chocolate one but you can also find them in: white, Sugar Free, Dark chocolate 40% and Dark chocolate 70%. Super delicious, great quality. You can find out all about them and where to buy them on their website.
Royal Dansk biscuits are for me, such a treat. I love having them around during Christmas time as they are super delicious and luxurious and come in the most beautiful tins. They gave us a wide variety of choices and I ended up with the Shortbread tin. I would’ve loved to try all the other varieties as well, especially the chocolate chip but I do love shortbread so I am very happy. I have not opened this tin yet because I am saving it till the very last when I can savour each crumb. Especially as the cold creeps in with a nice cup of coffee. I have had these before though and they are heavenly. You can find them on twitter, Facebook and their website.
Coo-ee unfortunately didn’t make it to any photo’s. We were thoroughly spoilt with 4 cans each! I got pineapple, grape, apple and iron brew flavours. I haven’t tried Coo-ee before but I absolutely loved them. My favourite is a toss-up between grape and pineapple. Coo-ee Island Fusion is a new range of flavours that are refreshingly different like pomegranate, blueberry & cranberry and passion fruit & lemonade. I definitely need to get my hands on some of these flavours as I think they sound delicious. Thank you Coo-ee for the great spoils and introducing me to something different that I really love. You can find Coo-ee on twitter, Facebook or their website.
We also got amazing vouchers in our bags and some of them from yummy food spots.

Thank you SO much to you all for the delicious treats and spoils. It’s not like I need more spoils but there is no way I can resist.
