31DC2014 Day 28: Inspired by a flag

Hi lovelies,

I hope you’re having a good weekend so far!  It’s a little nippy today which I love! 

Inspired by a flag.  Obviously there are many flags out there to choose from but I just couldn’t find a good enough reason to do any of them.  I considered doing the flag of Japan – because really, what could be easier? 😛  I will tell you what!  A stamped flag!

I decided to use the racing checkered flag as my inspiration.  I started off doing them with striping tape and close to the end my cousin whipped out a stopping plate with the exact pattern I needed.  I thought the stamping would look much better than the tape and I was right!

I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white on all my nails.  When that was completely dry I stamped using plate Pueen08 and Essence stampy polish in black.  Topcoat and done.  What could be easier right?  This was so quick and easy I actually feel like I cheated.

I think I will spend the rest of the day snuggled and watching a movie or two.  I hope you have a great rest of the day!  See you in the new week.
