Hi lovelies,
It’s Friday!!! Which means the weekend is upon us! It’s a beautiful day too so I think the weekend is going to be a beaut. What are you up to?
It’s time for another review from Born Pretty Store. I’ve mentioned before that Born Pretty Store is one of my favourite places to get my nail art supplies. Their stamping plates just continue to impress me as well. This plate is BP-13 and you can find it here (or click on the image)
Each full nail image is quite big and easily fit all of my nails. The images on the left and right are 15 x 20cm and the top and bottom images are 15 x 18cm. As before, the one thing that I really like and consider an improvement, is the back of the plate.
The back of the plate now has a paper backing. I don’t know if only the newer plates have this or if they are starting to implement this into all their plates but I think it’s fantastic. It is so much easier to hurt or cut yourself on the sharp edges of the plates when it doesn’t have this backing. I am a fan, great job Born pretty Store!
I was so torn about what image to use. I really wanted to use them all because I love them all. Instead I settled on the image on the right. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Revlon – Tanzanite on all my nails. My original idea was to do my ring finger in black and reverse the colours / stamping. Except I got carried away and forgot until the very end. *sigh* Once the base was completely dry I stamped using the image on the right and Born Pretty Store stamping polish in black. I did smudge my index finger a smidge but the plate performed beautifully. It is deeply etched and the images transfer perfectly. I am really super impressed with the plates in general and this one didn’t disappoint at all. I also really like the combination of colour and pattern here.
If you want to grab this plate for yourself (or any of the others) don’t forget you can use my 10% off code as shown below. This code will always be in my sidebar as well as my affiliate link so click on “go buy” and save!
What do you think? Do you like the plate? Have you got this plate? What do you think of my combination? Of course, I have a swatch for you.
Revlon – Tanzanite
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a gorgeous duochrome with a purple / gold flash. I didn’t think about it much when I was taking these photo’s but the duochrome is quite noticeable. Besides the flash between colours it also adds so much depth to it. Here is another photo
You can see the change on the left hand sides of my nails. It is also very noticeable in the bottle. This was actually lovely with a really nice formula. Opacity is also really nice as I really thought I would need more that 2 coats. The first coat was a little sheer but it built up really well. I have a few more of the Revlon Chroma Chameleon polishes and I am quite excited to try them.
Do you have any of them? What do you think of them?
Thanks for reading,
Elzeth
Hi Michelle.
Do you still use the Essence Stamper or have you switched over to a different stamper? Thanks 🙂
Michelle Roberts
Hi Elzeth, I have switched over to a different stamper. I am now using the big round black and white one from Born Pretty Store and occasionally the one from Moyou SA.
