Today is a public holiday so technically still weekend. It’s been a good but crazy one so far. How has yours been?
If you follow me on Instagram you might’ve noticed that my husband picked up his new car on Friday. He took leave for this week because it’s just 3 days and it turned out he got his car just in time for the long weekend and leave week. Of course, that means there has been tons of driving around :P. Anyway, during one of these shopping trips I saw a new Sinful Colors collection in Clicks. I was so excited because it’s been a while since anything new from Sinful Colors has been around. Anyway, enough of the babbling, let me show you.
Sinful Colors – Energetic red
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s an orange toned red that is gorgeous! It’s so bright and beautiful. Really good formula and opacity. Just look how shiny it is! I didn’t think I would like this one as much as I do. It’s beautiful.
Sinful Colors – Sail la vie
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This one has been on my wishlist for AGES and I am beyond thrilled to finally have my grubby paws on it. This is a beautiful cornflower blue with a shimmer that will make you drool. Unfortunately it was not visible on my photos but you will adore this polish. The colour alone is to die for but with the shimmer its heavenly. Also really good formula and opacity.
Sinful Colors – Tempest
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a lavender creme of epic proportions! This one may as well be a one coater with a gorgeous formula. The colour is amazing too. I can’t get over Tempest. It is perfect. Love love love.
Sinful Colors – Petal be the day
This is 1 coats of Petal be the day over Tempest. I had really hoped this one would be buildable on it’s own like the others I will show you soon. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get it opaque on it’s own. So I thought I would layer it anyway. If you have better luck layering it let me know what the trick is please. Anyway, this is bright blue and purple small and medium hex glitter in a lavender tinted (sheer) base. I got quite a bit of glitter coverage with just one coat though and the glitters lie down well even without topcoat. Really really pretty.
Sinful Colors – Standing bloom only
This is 3 coats with no topcoat but on my ring finger I have 2 coats with no topcoat. This was my least favourite of them all when I bought them but once I had it on my nails I actually really really loved it. This is a brightish orange base with red and gold small and medium glitter. The formula is really good with pretty decent opacity. I could’ve stopped at 2 coats (as per my ring finger) but I could still slightly see some VNL. I left it like this so that you could see the difference between 2 and 3 coats. If the VNL doesn’t bother you you could easily get away with 2. This is really cool. I kinda love it!
Sinful Colors – Flower power
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. This is my favourite favourite of them all. It’s a very light pink base packed with white and magenta pink glitter in different sizes. The formula on this one was great and completely opaque in 3 coats. I love the combination of colours, I love the effect. Love this one SO much!
An observation I made about the last three (flower power, standing bloom only and Petal be the day) Even though they looked gorgeous without topcoat, the topcoat really made the glitter shine and gave it depth and made it looks even more squishy!
I actually really liked these polishes. There were more in the display but they weren’t new so I didn’t include them. I already had them all from previous collections.
What do you think of these? Have you got any of these polishes? Which one would you grab first or which is your favourite?
Thanks for reading,
