PPSANailChallenge week 2 – Sugar spun

Hi lovelies,

Happy Monday!  Did you have a good weekend?  We had a busy but fun one.  I am looking forward to my cousin and her family coming to visit this weekend though.  Another fun packed and busy one. 

Today is the third prompt for the #PPSANailChallenge.  It is sugar spun.  You might remember I did it for the first time not too long ago.  I was both nervous and excited to try it again.  Once I started though I remembered how ridiculously time consuming it is.  Not doing it but waiting for the polish to be at just the right consistency to do it.  I also realised that some polishes simply work better than others.  So let me show you what I came up with.

I started with 2 coats of Essence – Black is back.  I then topcoated that and left it to dry completely. I then started doing the sugar spun starting with China Glaze – Too yacht to handle and then doing a line of China Glaze – That’s shore bright.  Right at the tip I did a line of China Glaze – Flip flop fantasy.  I am sure you can tell it didn’t all go too smoothly but I really liked the result anyway.  I love the bright neon colours on the black and these 3 colours work well together too.  I didn’t topcoat again because I really like the texture.
