#OMD3: Under the sea and twinsie post with Juanita

Hi lovelies,

I bet you’ve been wondering what happened to me.  Or maybe not.  I am sorry.  I did put the change of schedule on my Facebook page but I forgot to mention it in my last post here as well.  Have you had a good week so far?

It’s time for the monthly twinsie post with Juanita.  So far we have managed to incorporate it into any challenges or themes we might already be busy with. This month though, Juanita is doing the #OMD3 challenge but I am not (saving myself for a future challenge).  I am however joining in just for today to do the twinsie post anyway.  So the prompt we are doing is…..Under the sea.

I am so excited to see what Juanita comes up with.  My creativity has failed me completely and if it wasn’t for some help from my Nail Anarchy friends I might have ended up with just plain nails.  So let me show you mine.

On my pinky and index I started with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Wrapped in riches. Once that was dry I stamped a scale image using BM502 and MoYou stamping polish in white.  I then stamped a jelly fish image randomly on each nail using BM504 and MoYou stamping polish in black.  On my ring and middle fingers I started with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Best ball gown ever.  On my ring finger I stamped using BM504 and Mundo de Unas reddish.  On my middle nail I used the jelly fish image on BM504 and stamped using Mundo de Unas tutti (purple), Lime (lime green) and Sky blue (blue).  I then topcoated everything and called it a day.  I wasn’t sure about it at first to be honest but it kinda grew on me the longer I had it on my nails.

Morgan Taylor – Wrapped in riches. 

This is 2 coats with no topcoat – except my ring finger which does have topcoat.  This is a teal base with teal / turquoise glitter.  I also see a few purple bits.  This is such a gorgeous glitter.  Formula is amazing and 2 coats gave full coverage.  Easy breezy application too.  Without topcoat it did dry a little matte and dull but with topcoat it is spectacular.  I love this so much I can see myself using it a lot in future.

I did try for the 3rd time to do swatches of Morgan Taylor – Best ball gown ever but I just don’t love my swatches at all.  I will continue to try every time I use it and maybe I will nail it soon.
