I hope you had a spectacular weekend! I just know this is going to be a great week too. Can you feel it?
I mentioned a few times before the time that I was going to do The Color Run. I was SO excited and ended up having a great time! I never thought I would do stuff like this but I am absolutely thrilled that I am here, that I love it and that I will be doing it again. Yup, that’s right. I will be doing another walk this coming weekend. Anyway, back to this one.
Some of us zumba girls decided to do it together and we also roped in a few other people. My cousin flew down from JHB as well to do it with us. It was also so fun to meet up with some of my other amazing friends there. I think it was all organised so well and it was really fun from the minute we got there till the minute we left. I wish I had stayed longer actually. I definitely could’ve done with a ton more colour and glitter on me. I loved it though! I loved who I was there with. I loved the fun. I loved the spirit. I LOVED the colour and the glitter. You are here for nails though so let me show you what I decided to do on my nails. Fair warning though: I took these photos AFTER the actual day. So it isn’t crispy fresh 😉
I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white. Once it was completely dry I went to work with splatter. I started with China Glaze – Red-y to rave and splattered my heart out. Next up was China Glaze – Treble maker (green). I then used China Glaze – Violet vibes and at this point I was huffing and puffing onto that straw like a crazy person. Finally, last up was China Glaze – Bottoms up. I topcoated and that was that. I was actually able to get a decent splatter on most of my nails till I got to my pinky. Every single big blog of polish that came out landed on my pinky. Im sorry pinky :/ These are all bright neon colours so it it was really eye-catching. I liked it. I might’ve used too many colours but it was pretty fun anyway.
I also have a few photos to show you of the day.
I really had a blast and I can’t wait for the next one. The next Color Run and the next walk in general.
Have you done The Color Run before? Were you at the Durban one? Do you think my nails suited the theme?
Thanks for reading,
