NAILLINKUP: Balls

Hi lovelies,

Having a good week so far?  I hope so.  I am finally feeling a bit better even though not 100% yet.  It can only get better.  We are now also officially in autumn so hopefully the weather will start cooling down.  I don’t think Mother Nature got the memo though as yesterday was boiling!

I can’t even begin to explain how I landed up with the prompt of Balls for this month but I can tell you it was a very funny and interesting conversation between the four of us. 😉  So for Balls, there are tennis balls, cricket balls, rugby balls, hairy balls etc etc etc.  Let me show you what I attempted.

Let me start with my pinky.  I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white.  When it was completely dry I stamped using BM408 and Moyou Stamping polish in black and topcoated.  This is of course, soccer ball.  On my ring finger I started with 2 coats of Revlon – Checkmate.  When that was dry I used Sinful Colors – Nirvana and made an oval shape in brown.  It did end up covering most of Checkmate but anyway.  I then used a thin brush and Revlon – Checkmate to make the thin lines in the middle and little spots around the edge to represent a seam.  This is rugby ball! On my middle finger I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Easy going.  When that was dry I used a thin brush and a combination of Sinful Colors – Nirvana and Sinful Colors – Black on black to make well, hairy balls.  I topcoated and hoped it would be are enough that it wouldn’t be too in your face and we can move along 😉 On my index I started with 2 coats of Tip Top – We have an green mint.  When that was dry I used a thing brush and Sinful Colors – Snow me white to make curved lines and then with the same brush I made thin wispy lines on the edges.  I did this to make it look a bit more fuzzy – like a tennis ball!

What do you think?  Is it…..ball-ish enough?  We all know I don’t really do well with freehand stuff so this was way out of my comfort zone but it did provide for quite a few giggles so it’s a total win in that department.  😉  Don’t forget to check out the other participants using the InLinkz thingum below
