31DC2016 Day 02: Orange nails

Hello lovelies,

Happy Friday!  I just know today is going to be an epic day.  I just know it 😀

#31dc2016 is still in just starting off so check out the prompts and let me know if you’re doing it too.

Let’s get going with orange nails.

I started with 2 coats of Essence – Ice cream party and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I used regular tape to tape off the tips and the cuticle area and then used Essence – Flashy pumpkin, making sure to remove the tape immediately after.

I always struggle with orange and this time was no different.  it didn’t blow me away but it was orange and that is all that counts right now 😛

I also have a swatch of

Essence – Ice cream party

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a peachy orange creme with great opacity and good formula.  This polish is really opaque for such a light shade.

Righty-o, what do you think?  I can only hope things get better here going forward otherwise this challenge is going to be a bust 😛
