Yay for Wednesday! It would seem everyone is Black Friday crazy at the moment and I actually can’t wait to see what amazing specials will be going on. Even the South African stores are climbing on board the Black Friday train. I am not complaining although I do wonder why we are all so obsessed with American holidays. Anyway, sales are sales and I will be standing ready to snatch up any good specials I can 😉
I have some quick nail art for you today. When I was swatching the recent Essence range updates, this polish really intrigued me. It really reminded me of camo. So I did some nail art trying to make it look camo without being camo. Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of Essence – Olive you and let that dry completely. I then stamped on my middle and ring finger using BM-416 3 times. I stamped with Mundo de Unas – White, then I stamped with Mundo de unas – bronze and finally with Mundo de unas – Avocado. I stamped each image slightly off centre of the previous one. I then used Mundo de Unas – Avocado and my dotting tool to make 2 dots on my pinky and index. I then topcaoted and that was that.
What do you think? Does it remind you of camo – even though it isn’t? I wish I had left more of the white stamping visible but I kinda like it. I like the combination of the colours and I still really like Olive you. It’s definitely a more wintery shade but very versatile.
