52 week nail art challenge – Week 1: French

Hello lovelies

Happy new year! I hope 2017 treats you well and is filled with all the magic you desire!  I am very excited about the year ahead and all the possibilities it may hold. 

To make this year even more exciting, Polish Portfolio created the 52 Week nail art challenge.  This is similar to the 31 day challenge except it is one prompt per week for the whole year.  I am not sure if I am going to be able to stick to it the whole year but I am going to try.  I am going to be posting as many of these prompts as I can on Mondays.  Here is a list of the prompts.  I hope you will join in otherwise follow us by using #52weeknailchallenge

The first prompt is french.  So let me show you with what I came up with.

I started with 2 coats of Morgan Taylor – Invitation only on all my nails and left that to dry completely.  I then stamped on the tips using BM324 and Mundo de Unas – Purple.  I then stamped the same image over the purple using Mundo de Unas – light gold.  I topcoated and that was that.

What do you think? It’s not a traditional french but I prefer it that way.  I really like the combination of colours.  I also have a swatch of the beautiful base colour.  Let me show you

Morgan Taylor – Invitation only

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a beautiful lilac creme with a stunning formula.  It’s also pretty opaque and one coat give loads of coverage.  I received this polish from Renita in my Secret Santa gift and I LOVE it! It’s also been on my wishlist for the longest time so I am thrilled.  It’s such a beautiful polish.
