Hello lovelies,
What a beautiful Monday! I am obsessed with the cool rainy weather we have at the moment. Such a nice break from the terrible heat. There’s a new to-do list for the week and another whole week of achieving goals. I hope your week treats you well!
Time for the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. It is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
This week is glitter and there are sooooooo many ways to do glitter. I have 60 million glitter polishes, I have 60 million glitter toppers and I have 60 million tubs of loose glitter. So how do I choose? I stick my hand in a box and pick something 😉 I settled on loose metallic glitter on a black base. Let me show you
I started with 2 coats of Nubar – Noir on all my nails and let it dry completely. I then used a non fast drying topcoat and a toothpick to start placing the glitter. I wanted to cover the whole nail on my ring finger and then do a part of the pattern on the rest of my nails. Once I was done I added 2 coats of topcoat. I wish I could just do a better job at glitter placement but you know what they say. Practice makes perfect so I will just keep at it.
What do you think? I wish I could capture how shiny and sparkly it was! I also really like this glitter and the mix of colours. Did I mention I have a ton of glitter? I think this might’ve inspired me to do more glitter placement nail art. I actually have an idea I am dying to try and I think it might be time.
Thanks for reading,
Juanita
I like this. A lot.

Yay! Thank you! xx

Love it! I really need to try some placement with diamond glitters. It looks so cool!

It’s a lot of work but always worth the effort. 🙂 Thanks Kerry x

This looks awesome, it reminds me of a harlequin 🙂
And O M G… you must be like the most patient person in the world. I tried doing a glitter placement accent nail once, you know just a line from tip to cuticle… let’s just say it wasn’t successful and I could find glitters everywhere… for months!

Hahahahahaha You make me laugh. I am not sure patience is a word that has ever been used to describe me. There is a reason why only one nail is a full nail 😛 It’s also far from perfect and I so wish I could do perfect glitter placement. They say practice makes perfect right?
Speaking of glitter….yup I’m still finding it everywhere too 😛
Thank you so much. I sorta like the harlequin reference 😀
