Hey hey,
Did you have a good weekend? Mine was good and lazy. It’s been cold so I have spent most of it snuggled under a blanky or wrapped in 3 layers of clothes. I love it. Did you do anything fun? It’s less than a week left till Muddy Princess and I am nervous!! Every time I get a glimpse of whats to come I have a little more panic. Eeeek. Anyway, onwards and upwards, I’m going to try forget about it till Friday :/
Here we are at week 34 of the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. You can share yours on any day of the week as long as it falls within the week. Here is the list of prompts and you can use #52weeknailchallenge to keep track of any posts. I hope you’ll join in.
The prompt this week is Inspired by fashion. I think you will agree that it is such a wide prompt because fashion is everywhere. So, I picked a few of my fave ‘celeb looks’, did a little poll and here we are. I actually had a final two and I liked both so much that I am using one here and the other in in another post. The look I settled on for this post is the dress Melissa McCarthy wore to the world premiere of Ghostbusters. (Image source)
Isn’t it a pretty dress? Let me show you what I did.
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Minimalist momma on all my nails and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I stamped on my ring and middle nail using Lina License to be sexy 1 and Mundo de Unas – Yellow. I used Sinful Colors – Bananappeal and a thin brush to make the border around my index and pinky. I topcoated and that was it.
What do you think? Did I get it right? Should I have used a different colour? I also have a swatch for you.
China Glaze – Minimalist momma
This is 3 coats with no topcoat. It is a beautiful light nude with a great formula. It is a bit on the thin side but it just helps it to apply beautifully. I did use 3 coats because I wasn’t sure if 2 would be enough for such a light colour but I think 2 would be ok depending on how thick your coats are. It’s such a beautiful nude (Also from the Shades of Nude collection) and has a shiny finish. I loooooove it!

Wow… cute dress but GORGEOUS manicure!! You shouldn’t change a thing, not one thing… heck, even I wouldn’t change a thing and you know I can never leave good enough alone 🙂
